AUDIO - LINGUISTIC METHOD OF TEACHING TURKISH TO FOREIGNERS

Abstract

İn this study, the audio-linguistic method used in teaching Turkish to foreigners is discussed. The aim of the study is to define the audio-linguistic method, the contributions of famous linguists in this method, the possible criticisms directed to the method and the reactions of the students to this method.İt is considered as a second purpose to benefit TÖMER employees by giving information about how this method should be applied. For these two purposes, the definition, purpose and application of the auditory and linguistic method in teaching Turkish to foreigners, the principles on which it is based, its effects in terms of philosophy and pedagogy were investigated. The information obtained from the research documents has been tried to be presented in a regular way.
