A LOOK AT OUR JOURNAL OF BETWEEN 1940-1960 AND THE WORLD LITERATURE

Abstract

Magazines are products that appeal to large audiences at the time they are published, deal with different aspects in sections, and shed light on cultural, visual, intellectual and social aspects that are common to past periods. The magazines that entered our literature with the Tanzimat period have been in constant demand since then. While examining our history, magazines have provided us with rich content. While some of the journals that took on different missions according to the period of their publication continued for a long time, some ended their journey in a short time. Literature World, which started to be published in 1948, is a journal that has taken its place in our historical article after 26 issues were published. The periodical of conquering this period from 1940-1960 in terms of political, social and economic aspects, especially the magazine Edebiyat Dünyası can be considered.
