Abstract

“Drevnetyurkskiy Slovar” is a dictionary published by Russian Turcologists in 1969. The dictionary is among the etymology dictionaries and is used in many etymology articles. Information about the work is given in various promotional articles. This information is not intended to help the use of the work. For this reason, general introduction, feature and usage facilitation information of the work are given in our article. In particular, emphasis has been placed on unknown aspects. The reasons why a scientific translation of the work has not been made today have been questioned. The main feature of the dictionary is not to make etymology in all its articles, but to give the source from which all its articles are mentioned. In this regard, it has been used by many researchers.
