The systems in the world are developing and changing day by day, and people are trying to adapt to this change. A second language has become a necessity to be acquired in this change. Knowing a second language in education and business life in our country and in other countries is among the required requirements. For this reason, every country has understood the importance of learning a second language and teaching their own language to the peoples of other countries, and they have started to work on this subject. Turkey is a country that hosts many refugees due to wars and receives short-term migrations due to education. Many foreign students come to our country and these students learn Turkish as a second language. Foreign students learning Turkish encounter many disadvantages while learning Turkish. One of them is the alphabet difference. The fact that the alphabet of the native language of the person and the language he will acquire is different from each other in terms of both spelling and pronunciation, makes it difficult for the language learner to learn. The fact that people with the same mother tongue make the same mistakes in the same letters while learning Turkish due to the alphabet difference shows that alphabet differences affect the writing skill in language teaching positively or negatively.
